ekz is the market leader in Germany and the largest supplier of library books, fixtures, library management software and consulting services. On the digital front, ekz also has a successful e-book platform.
Autocheck Systems and HSBib are part of the ekz.bibliotheksservice group.
Autocheck Systems was founded in 1997 as an independent provider of self-service solutions for libraries, colleges and universities. In 2013, the dealership of Nedap Library Solutions was obtained. With this successful partnership, some 700 customers were supplied over the years.
That this success did not go unnoticed is evidenced by the acquisition of Autocheck Systems in 2018 by the market leader in the German library market, ekz.bibliotheksservice GmbH of Reutlingen. Daily management has since been in the hands of Marc de Lange. A former director/owner of competitor HSBib (itrack B.V.), he set to work to merge these companies, which complement each other extremely well. This merger has created enormous added value for all parties. Consequently, since January 1, 2020, both companies have been part of ekz.bibliotheksservice.
