Rosette up to date again
Rozet is the cultural center of Arnhem. Designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects, the building was officially opened by Princess Beatrix on December 10, 2013.
Rozet houses the Library, Volksuniversiteit, the Heritage Center, Kunstbedrijf Arnhem, Kunstuitleen To-ART and café-restaurant Momento. In addition to Rozet Centrum, there are branches in Arnhem Zuid (Kronenburg), Presikhaaf and the bibliobus.
Here, ekz benelux supplied two book sorting systems, self-service counters, detection gates and visitor counters. In addition, several personnel work stations were installed. The library bus is also equipped with lending equipment from ekz benelux. A special feature is that the bus connects to the library management system V-Smart in real-time at the various stops.
Rozet Arnhem on cooperation with ekz Benelux
In 2021, the book sorting systems received a major update, with a complete overhaul of the controls, software and hardware. Watch Tessa Slingerland’s story below. She talks about her experiences with ekz benelux in the video below.
In addition, Rozet also had the premiere of intelligent display tables. These were developed by us to update the catalog in real time and continuously with the books present on a table. If a material from the cabinets is placed on the tables, the catalog is automatically updated. In this way, it is very easy to create and maintain thematic or genre-based display tables.
As we continue to innovate together with the customer, so-called “Rosettes” will be delivered in 2021. For example, by creating a lending point at elementary schools, local residents can also borrow materials. For this purpose, ekz benelux installed the SelfCheck Plus units with payment terminal.
